IET Membership
You will need to have an active Membership before applying for Professional Registration. If you are not yet a Member, then the easiest thing to do is to apply for Associate Membership. Then, when your Professional Registration is successful, you will automatically be upgraded to the relevant level of Membership (TMIET/MIET)

Once you are a Member, you will then be able to utilise membership benefits including being able to submit your professional registration application. To find out which route is right for you, please follow the links below, or if you cannot find your suitable branch, please contact armedforces@theiet.org for support and advice. Applicants who do not meet eligibility via a Defence Engineer Registration Scheme are able to apply directly to the IET.
