Become a Chartered Manager (CMgr)

CMgr status enhances your credibility as a leader, strengthens your professional profile and demonstrates your commitment to making a positive difference through effective management and continuous improvement.

What is a Chartered Manager?

Chartered Managers play a key role in shaping organisational performance. They lead teams, manage resources, drive change and ensure that people, processes and outcomes align with strategic objectives. CMgr status demonstrates that you consistently apply high standards of professional management and that you make a measurable impact through your work.

The IET has partnered with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to offer a tailored route for IET Members who hold CEng or IEng and have 5 or more years of management experience.

The pathway recognises both your engineering expertise and your leadership capability, offering a well-respected chartered credential that supports further career progression.
