Degrees and engineering qualifications from the UK are generally recognised globally
In fact, there are six international engineering agreements in place. Three of these recognise all accredited programmes of study that are two to four years long after secondary school level. The remaining agreements recognise individual proficiencies of professional engineers, engineering technologists and engineering technicians that meet certain standards in their fields.
If you’re coming to the UK with foreign qualifications, you could contact UK NARIC who’ll give you all the information you need on the equivalency of your qualifications. The IET offers three categories of international professional registration for engineers looking to practice in Europe, EUR ING, IntPE and IntET.
