IET Governance Review: Evolving how the IET works for our members
We are evolving how the IET is governed to ensure the organisation continues to work effectively for our members, our volunteers and the wider profession.
Following our initial consultation, the Board of Trustees has refined a series of proposals designed to simplify our governance structure, strengthen member voice, and support more effective decision-making. The proposals also include updates to our Royal Charter and Bye-laws to modernise how we operate and provide greater flexibility for the future.
We now want to hear from you.
This page brings together everything you need to understand the proposals, hear directly from those involved and share your views as we shape the future of how the IET is governed.
Your views will help inform the final proposals before members are asked to vote later this year.
Have your say and help shape the future of how the IET works.
Should you require alternative formats, please do let us know via governance@theiet.org.
Our shared commitment
Truly listening at this stage in the process means your voice is essential to shape a model that not only supports how we work today but strengthens our impact as we collaborate with the wider engineering and technology community to engineer a better world.
Thank you for your continued leadership, your commitment, and in advance, for constructively sharing your valuable input in this process. If you have immediate questions, please feel free to reach out to your usual IET contact, or send us an email via governance@theiet.org.
