19 September 2018

The Institution of Engineering and Technology’s in-house video production team, IET.TV has been recognised internationally with its second global award this year, selected as a Triumph (Gold GlobalTrend) Winner at the 2018 GlobalTrend Awards.

This latest accolade recognises the team’s creative work in the IET’s 2017 Young Woman Engineer of the Year Awards “Portrait of an Engineer” film, depicting the careers of the six award finalists in a modern light and challenging the stereotypical image of engineering. The film was also awarded Gold at the recent 2018 Summit Creative Award® competition.

Mark Reynard, Business Manager for IET.tv, says: “I have immense pride to announce that the IET.tv Team have won a second global video award for 2018 for the Young Woman Engineer of the Year video series. The Young Woman Engineer of the Year Awards is one small part of a wider campaign by the IET to challenge stereotypes and showcase diversity in engineering and to have this work recognised by the GlobalTrend Awards is a testament to the hard work of so many teams within the IET as well as the IET.tv Productions team.”
