The following are facts and figures for the Olympic Park Village in London.


Olympic village
  • Village site covers over 27 hectares of land, the equivalent to St James's Park
  • Comprises 11 residential plots made up of 62 buildings (6 to 8 in each plot) in a rectangular layout around a traditional 2,400 square metre courtyard area
  • Will provide accommodation for about 17,000 athletes and officials, and in legacy 2,818 new homes for Londoners - nearly 1,000 of these will be 3 and 4 bedroom family homes. 1,379 have been purchased by the Triathlon Homes consortium for affordable housing after 2012
  • Buildings contain a total of 76 lifts to ensure full accessibility
  • Facilities include:
    • a new 5,000 square metre, four-storey Polyclinic providing sate-of-the-art healthcare and community facilities
    • the world class Chobham Academy education campus with 1,800 places for students aged between 3 and 19
    • over 30 local and independent shops, cafes, and bars, creating the feeling of an established neighbourhood
  • Site also comprises more than 10 hectares of new parks and open space, interspersed with cycling facilities and recreation spaces
  • Six future development plots have the potential for 2,000 further new homes to be developed, together with retail floor space and associated uses
