Paul Trickett, 1945 - 2024

Obituary provided by Pat Newman MIET.

Paul Trickett became a Railway Signal Engineer working at Reading, Manchester, Carlisle and Birmingham, returning to Reading to work in signalling design again.

Near retirement, Paul spent a few months working in Greece on the re-signalling of the main line to Thessaloniki.

Over the last few years, Paul had been driving the 40 miles from Leamington Spa to Toddington twice a week to run his beloved model steam engines and build a new model railway layout.

He died in his home that he’d been happy in for over 30 years, with, of course, a model railway in the garden.
