Norman Leslie Hannon, December 1923 – July 2021

Norman Leslie “Les” Hannon died in Bella Vista, Arkansas, USA, 25 July 2021, aged 97.

He served in the Royal Air Force from 1942 to 1946 and then graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast with a BSc in Engineering in 1950.

His career in industrial engineering and industrial management consulting included lengthy assignments in Belfast, South Africa, Nigeria, Australia, Dublin, and London, after which he emigrated to the United States in 1963, with stops in New Jersey, Maryland, Quebec (Canada), Kansas, and Ohio.

In 1982, he and a partner formed the consulting firm The Leawood Group. He retired in 1989 but continued as Chairman of the Board and as an associate consultant until 2000.

He is survived by a son and a daughter, four grandchildren, two great-grandsons, and three brothers.
