Welcome from the editor
Welcome to the March-April issue of Member News. This issue is all about progress, vision and the members driving change in engineering and technology. From meeting our incredible Young Woman Engineer of the Year to sharing inspiring volunteer stories, we’re honouring those making positive change across our global community.
Inside, we discover more about University of Strathclyde’s Advanced Net Zero Innovation Centre (ANZIC) - a landmark initiative that places engineering at the heart of the UK’s net zero transition and have a special feature on Dr Walter Green, whose decade of STEM outreach has transformed opportunities for young people.
We also highlight our AF Harvey Prize winner and pay tribute to our first ever Young Woman Engineer of the Year in 1978, Mrs Erzsebet Kibble.
Share your thoughts on the topics featured in this issue and join the conversation on EngX. You can also connect with us on social media at @InstitutionofEngineeringandTechnology on LinkedIn and @TheIET on Instagram.
Thank you for your continued support as always.
If you have a story to share, a milestone to celebrate, or an idea to explore, we’d love to hear from you at membernews@theiet.org.
