Recognising volunteer talent

Our volunteers expand our global reach in ways we couldn’t imagine without them

We never fail to be impressed by the tireless efforts of our volunteers around the world, and the immense commitment of time and effort they give is vital in helping us achieve its aims and objectives.

Volunteers provide a breadth of reach - both globally and in their expertise - that just couldn’t be achieved without them. It is important that we recognise volunteer contributions – both individual and joint.

Volunteer Medal

The Volunteer Medal is recognises the importance of our volunteers in furthering the aims of the IET, and is awarded as part of the Achievement Awards.  This medal celebrates the amazing work that volunteers do across the organisation.

Paul Fletcher Medal

This medal is given in memory of Paul Fletcher, who wished to encourage younger people to participate in engineering institutions. The medal is awarded to an early career volunteer as part of the Achievement Awards.
