Article content guidance

We welcome articles from existing IET Partners that share the interesting and inspiring work you and your teams are doing to engineer a better world. The articles should not be heavily promotional, or recruitment focused. We encourage submissions that showcase new and exciting projects and innovations, career development initiatives and STEM outreach activities, as well as technical content and discussions.

Once received, our Partner News team will review your article and add your article to the blog within approximately 2-3 weeks (it may be longer depending on the number of submissions recently received). It will be at the discretion of the Partner News editorial team as to whether the content will be selected for inclusion on the blog and the editorial team may amend submissions before publishing.

Please include a headline, author name(s) and job title(s), and organisation name, along with at least one photo and suggested caption. The author, where appropriate, must obtain full permission to publish the article, including permission to use any material (including images) protected by copyright.

Please ensure that you have consent from everyone included in your photos or for quotations before sharing, and please note that if any images contain individuals that are aged 16 or under, the IET will require signed permission for the image to be used from either the individual or their legal guardian.

We’re upgrading our contact centre to make it quicker and easier for you to speak to the right member of our team.

From Thursday, 30 to  Friday, 31 October, our phone lines will be temporarily unavailable while we upgrade our systems. For any urgent enquiries during this time, please email membership@theiet.org and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

From Monday, 3 November, we’re moving to one central phone number for all enquiries. This change will make it easier to reach the right team quickly and improve your experience.

Thank you for your patience as we improve how we connect with you.
