How to better manage yourself

Self-management

Self-management is made up of two aspects:

1. Learn to manage your time and work schedule. If you’re organised, intense workloads will cause minimum fluster, and you’re more likely to meet your targets and deadlines.

2. Think about your professional goals, personal development and training. If you want to stay at the top of your game, you need to constantly grow and evolve. You should never get complacent because there’s always room to improve.

A support system

We run courses to help you develop your managerial skills, plus you can ask questions and discuss issues with other professionals working in industry by posting in our online community platform, IET EngX.

Thanks for your patience. We’ve upgraded our systems, all part of our big picture plan to deliver a great experience for you.

Your log-in access has been reinstated for our websites and systems but should you encounter any issues, our Member Relations team is here to support you on +44 (0)1438 765678 or via membership@theiet.org.
