Complaint process – how to voice your concerns

We hope that you are happy with your experience with the IET, however, we do recognise that occasionally things can go wrong, and if this has happened to you, we want to hear about it.

Complaints about the IET

Our Complaints Policy sets out how to contact us if you wish to make a complaint and the process we shall follow on receipt of the complaint.

It also sign posts you to another process if that is more appropriate depending on the nature of your complaint.

Other complaints procedures

Event registration will be unavailable from 8am - 10am on Monday 1 June 2026.

We’re upgrading our event registration system to make it quicker and easier for you to register for an event or course.

On Monday, 1 June, 8am to 10am, our registration system will be temporarily unavailable while we upgrade our systems. For any urgent enquiries during this time, please email events@theiet.org and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
