For final year students and recent graduates. As a Graduate Advantage member, you get a year of curated content engineered to showcase what you’ve achieved so far, raise your professional profile and give you a head start in your career.

How much does it cost?

If you’re currently a final year Student member, you’ll be auto-enrolled onto Graduate Advantage nine months before your course ends, and you’ll get the next year of membership for just £20. If you’re not already a member, you can sign up today for £20 too as long as you’re a final year university student or graduated within the last 12 months.

What if you live or study outside of the UK?

We offer the Graduate Advantage Scheme to all students and graduates of engineering and technology-related degrees across the world. However, if you’re in India, there’s a tailored version of Graduate Advantage just for you.

Not in your final year yet?

You can join the IET as a Student member for the time being and then move onto Graduate Advantage in your final year. To sign up as a Student member visit our online application form.

Continuing your studies after graduating?

Graduate Advantage is engineered to get you into work. You’ll automatically be signed up at the end of your course (based on the course dates you provided on your original application).

Is Graduate Advantage the right option for you?

Career Advantage

For early career engineers who graduated between one and four years ago. The second step in our Advantage Scheme, Career Advantage is a three-year programme engineered to your changing needs as a young professional.

If you’re working towards CEng or IEng registration, we’ll devise a plan to get you there while keeping you up to date with what’s going on in the industry.

Professional Advantage

For engineers who graduated between five and six years ago and the final step in our Advantage Scheme, Professional Advantage is our two-year programme engineered to get you ready for Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer professional registration.
