Centralised strategic network plan: consultation on stage 1 – modelling future supply and demand: IET comments to OFGEM on 21 June 2023.
In November 2022 OFGEM published their Decision on the initial findings of our Electricity Transmission Network Planning Review, which set out their decision that the Future System Operator (FSO) should deliver a new electricity transmission network planning output called a Centralised Strategic Network Plan (CSNP).
The Ofgem consultation outlines the proposals for the first stage of the CSNP regulatory framework development which is how they expect the FSO to model future supply and demand (currently the Future Energy Scenarios (FES) that will inform future network investment need in the CSNP.
