About this event

The manufacture of electronic products has become increasingly automated over the last decade, with increasing volume of production and wider range of application environments, new methods and processes are required at the design stage to meet the required reliability criteria.

Power electronics assemblies between 1kW and 75kW have seen limited benefits from automation due to the wide variety of components used. Many of the components require high speed fine pitched SMT PCB placement, while many of the larger components require special preforms and manual assembly before soldering.

With the manufacturing environment moving towards a more automated process for assembly and monitoring and process control. There is a challenge of integrating power electronics into existing systems and overcoming mechanical constraints.

This seminar will present and provide the opportunity to discuss new ideas and methods to be considered at the product design stage to facilitate these trends.
