Didn’t make the grade?

  1. If you’re willing to look around different courses and universities, Clearing could be for you. There’s still a good chance you will find another course at the same university, or a similar one elsewhere. More than 30,000 people gain a place during Clearing every year. Learn more about Clearing on the UCAS website.
  2. If you don’t want to compromise, or you want to get better results, then re-sitting is the way. But take heart, many students sail through their exams the second time around.
  3. If you find the idea of re-sitting A levels too unbearable, consider an entry-level course to fill the gap. Foundation courses can give you access to degree education.
  4. Sometimes a little breathing room is just what the doctor ordered. Take a year out to consider your options and gain some life skills. Get a job, go travelling or both, the world is your oyster!

Sometimes, just when you think you’re out of options, you’ll find you have several. What seems devastating initially can be the key to a life-changing experience.
