Humza Malik is co-founder of Frontier Power, Adjunct Professor at Imperial College Business School, Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Chartered Engineer and Member of the IET Sector Panel for IT.
He has over 25 years of experience in the energy and aviation sectors and holds masters degrees from both Cranfield Institute of Technology and Imperial College.
Humza held senior positions in the largest utility in the UK, including Director of Strategy and Corporate Development, Director of UK Shared Services and UK CIO. Within National Grid Plc, he was an executive committee member for the Transmission and Gas Distribution Businesses and the Group Executive (when Director of Strategy). He played an active role in setting the direction of the Group and managing key aspects of the business.
Humza is CEO of Frontier Power, a newly established independent operator, asset manager, advisor and fund management business with deep specialisation in the power sector. Its experience includes generation, transmission and renewable manufacturing. Frontier Power is transitioning $600m of UK Offshore Transmission assets under its operation and is conducting consultancy assignments in Germany and Saudi Arabia and is at an advanced stage of establishing a $1bn power fund in India.
