As her apprenticeship draws to a close, Emma has been using Network Rail’s intranet to look for work opportunities and visit different departments to see what they do. She’s found one she loves: the air operations team.
Emma's been working both day and night shifts out and about with the Westbury maintenance team. She's got to deal with some pretty technical faults, allowing her to put the skills she's learnt into action.
Working with a fault team, Emma is getting involved in identifying and fixing faults on the line and dealing with a variety of new equipment. She's also learning some important skills for the job.
