S1023 - Investor confidence in the UK energy sector inquiry

Description

Written evidence submitted by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) to the House of Commons Energy and Climate Change Committee on Investor confidence in the UK energy sector.

Abstract The IET’s response to the ECCC’s inquiry on Investor confidence in the UK energy sector highlights where investments in the energy sector are likely to come from in the near future and some of the factors that will determine whether investors will invest in the UK energy sector or elsewhere. It also offers insights into how energy markets are approached in other countries and how investors have reacted to said approaches. The IET also offers to work with the Committee and other policy makers to discuss some of issues highlighted in the inquiry in more detail.
