This exciting two-year refurbishment project will preserve Savoy Place's important heritage, and make a number of improvements to provide a modern home for the IET.
Due to reopen in October 2015, the building will feature a range of services for IET members – in particular the Faraday Centre – which includes a large member lounge, Knowledge Centre, meeting and brainstorming rooms and the Kelvin Café.
We’re happy to announce that a roof terrace has now been approved by the IET Trustees, and will be completed in time for the building’s reopening in autumn 2015.
See all the main event spaces including the new Heritage Library and Riverside Room, as well as the Faraday Centre and our exciting engineering exhibits.
It's over a year since we closed Savoy Place, and the project is now firmly into the construction phase.
The proposed floor plans rationalise the space available, providing better flow within the building’s historical structure.
The proposed design will bring Savoy Place’s connection with engineering and technology to the forefront.
Members have been given the opportunity to choose up to three room names in Savoy Place.
