I've just noticed that a post/topic I made recently "Attempted abstraction or Innocent Works" has been deleted.

Do topic deletes like this happen often?

I didn't check yesterday, but I hadn't noticed any inflammatory content or indeed any disclosure of sensitive details when I'd looked the day before.

Did anyone see anything untoward in this thread?

Regards
John

The website seems to have been modernised recently. Perhaps that is the reason.

Usually threads are only deleted if they have degenerated into insults and name calling, very rare here but it has happened.

Threads promoting, even inadvertently, illegal activities have been deleted. But the thread in question was not promoting or encouraging abstraction.

Very odd.

Perhaps legal action is being considered and either the IET or TPTB decided that the thread should be deleted, so as not to affect any upcoming court case.
Although no location was given, there are ways of finding this information.

I've emailed the IET seeking clarification.

It's not an earth shattering issue I know, but now I'm curious about the deleting of something that I was originally curious about......

Cheers

Hi all,

Just to clarify on this - it was human error at this end that led to Digiboy's thread being removed. Apologies to all contributors on the thread for this!

I'm currently rebuilding the thread from the individual posts in a hidden area and when I've hopefully got them all in the right order, I'll be able to transfer it to over here so that it's back to pretty much how it was. Apologies - please bear with!

Best regards,
Chris

It was. Thanks for flagging up that it momentatily came into view. But we would prefer that the link is not reposted on here - so I've removed it. Appreciated though!

Best regards,
Chris
