We are delighted to announce the launch of an awards programme that recognises IET volunteers who demonstrate our core values: integrity, excellence and teamwork.
We never fail to be impressed by the tireless efforts of our volunteers around the world. They consistently demonstrate our core values through their various volunteering activities. Their contribution plays a vital part in helping to inspire, inform and influence today’s global engineering community… and tomorrow’s.
It’s often said that our volunteers are the lifeblood of the IET. With that in mind, we have introduced an exciting new recognition programme to share and celebrate the efforts of IET volunteers from around the world, who reflect our core values through their volunteering activities.
The awards will be made biannually to IET volunteers in three categories:
The winners will receive a certificate and feature in a Member News article – a fantastic, profile-raising opportunity to share their story and inspire readers.
Nominations can be made by IET volunteers, members and staff. So if you’ve been inspired by an IET volunteer (or team), simply complete an online nomination form explaining why they deserve to win one of the three award categories. And if they do win, we will include your name as the nominator when we announce the winners on our website – we’ll also include a comment from you in our Member News feature about why you nominated them.
We have had a wonderful response to the first round of nominations, which closed on 30 June. You can find out who the winners are by visiting the announcement page, and learn more about them in the November 2018 edition of Member News.
The second round of IET Volunteer Core Values Awards for 2018 is now open, with a closing date of 31 December - it’ll come round soon enough, so do start thinking about which of our wonderful volunteers you’re going to nominate!
Nominators and Nominees will need to accept and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
