This Code of Practice applies to the installation of dedicated conductive charging equipment for the charging of pure electric and plug-in hybrid electric road vehicles, including range-extended electric vehicles.
This Code of Practice provides an overview of electric vehicle charging equipment, considerations needed prior to installation, physical installation requirements and the electrical installation requirements as specified by the Wiring Regulations.
The code also covers the issues to consider when installing electric vehicle charging equipment in specific locations - such as domestic dwellings, on-street locations, and commercial / industrial premises.
