Minesoft - a leading global information solutions provider - is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) to offer the definitive Inspec database on the powerful Minesoft platform.

Due to launch in 2012, this new service combines the comprehensive, high-quality IET Inspec data with a fast, innovative user interface that will provide scientists and engineers researching emerging technologies with a flexible, precise and powerful way to access Inspec. Containing over 13 million bibliographic and indexed records from pertinent global research literature, IET Inspec is an invaluable information resource in the fields of electronics, computer science, physics, electrical, control, production and mechanical engineering.

Diane Richards, Publishing Strategic Relations Manager for the IET said “We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Minesoft which will present the Inspec Database on a platform that will provide many new features and an enriched search experience”.

Currently celebrating its 15th anniversary, Minesoft is a globally recognised software solutions provider, specialising in scientific and technical information. Recipient of the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for outstanding growth in international trade, and with extensive experience of working with similarly highly structured data in patent documents, Minesoft has developed a keen understanding of the complex needs of the technology researcher. This new partnership with the IET enables Minesoft to draw on this experience to offer the wider Research and Development community an established and essential research resource on an innovative and powerful new platform.

At the Online Information 2011 conference in London’s Olympia, Philip Allan, Product Manager at Minesoft, added:  “We look forward to applying our specialist know-how and proven flair to offer the Inspec community a fresh, intuitive user experience for searching the indispensable and ever-growing Inspec database.”
