About the Editors
Henry Shu-hung Chung is a Professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering, City University of Hong Kong and Director of the Centre for Smart Energy Conversion and Utilization Research. His research interests include smart grid technologies, renewable energy conversion technologies, application of computational intelligence in power electronics, high-voltage power conversion technologies and energy saving and environmentally-friendly solutions.
Huai Wang is an assistant professor at the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark, where his research interests include the reliability of DC-link capacitors, reliability of power electronic systems, high- voltage DC-DC power converters, time-domain control of converters, and passive components reduction technologies.
Frede Blaabjerg is a Professor of the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark, where his research interests include power electronics and its applications such as in wind turbines, PV systems, reliability, harmonics and adjustable speed drives.
Michael Pecht the Director of CALCE (Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering) at the University of Maryland, which is funded by over 150 of the world’s leading electronics companies. He has written over 700 technical articles and has 7 patents. He was awarded the distinguished Chinese Academy of Sciences President's International Fellowship, the IEEE Exceptional Technical Achievement Award, and the highest reliability honor, the IEEE Reliability Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Reliability of power electronics converter systems is a book published by IET in 2015. This book is edited by four of well-known experts in power electronics and engineering reliability; Henry Shu-Hung Chung, a professor at City University of Hong Kong, Huai Wang, an associate professor, and Frede Blaabjerg, a professor, at Alborg University and Michael Pecht, a professor, at University of Maryland, College Park.
