Essential advice for potential contributors to the IET’s flagship member magazine Engineering & Technology
Nearly all of the news, analysis, and feature articles that appear in Engineering & Technology magazine are the work of the IET’s professional editorial team, technical journalists, or other specially-qualified contributors. If you are a professional writer with a contribution idea that you think would be of interest, you are welcome to contact the appropriate member of the E&T editorial team.
Before pitching your idea please take time to look at a recent issue to familiarise yourself with the type of content we might consider commissioning. If you are not already an IET member, thus receiving the magazine regularly, you can browse issues online at www.EandTmagazine.com of E&T.
For general features that are accessible to readers who work in a wide range of disciplines right across the technology sector, email the Features Editor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For articles focusing on a specific area of engineering and/or technology that are more likely to be of interest to a particular section of this audience, use the contacts given here.
Each of our section editors commissions for their own part of the magazine, and may consider suitable proposals from practising engineers and technologists, as well as professional writers and journalists. Publication is always in accordance with the terms and conditions of an agreed commission. Please use section-specific email addresses below for making contacting.
