A highly commercially minded business leader with a successful track record in a large international organisation (FTSE top 25), the public sector and as an entrepreneur. Has an acutely developed sense of business and financial risk and value management, applied across a range of complex business situations including Critical National Infrastructure in energy and transport. He played leading roles in delivering c.£50bn of corporate transactions. As CIO he has successfully led large-scale business, service and technology transformations.
Currently CEO and co-founder of Frontier Power Ltd, a business that manages over £1bn of operational infrastructure assets, is developing a £1bn+ of new assets and provides M&A and commercial bidding and advisory services internationally.
He is a former senior executive of National Grid plc’s where he was a member of the Group Executive Committee, as well as a member of the executive committees of the Electricity Transmission and Gas Distribution businesses.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Imperial College Business School, a Fellow of the IET and a Chartered Engineer.
