Marco Mussetta

Marco Mussetta is an Assistant Professor in Politecnico di Milano. He received the M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and the Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2003 and 2007 respectively. In 2006, he has been a Visiting Ph.D. Student at the State Key Lab of mm-Waves of Southeast University in Nanjing, a national center of excellence for the research on millimeter wave, where he worked toward the development of integrated procedures for the optimized design of complex multi-layer and broadband antennas under the supervision of Prof. W. X. Zhang. From 2008 to 2011 he was a Research Assistant at the Department of Electronics of Politecnico di Torino, working on a project on the implementation of reflectarray antennas for environmental monitoring and surveillance applications. In March 2011 he joined the Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano, an assistant professor. His main research topics deal with the development of advanced computational intelligence technique for the modelling and optimization of energy system, electromagnetic devices, wireless sensor networks and the forecasting of energy production from renewable sources. Dr. Mussetta is co-author of more than 70 publications in international journals and conference proceedings. He has also been appointed reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Transaction on Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, Progress In Electromagnetics Research B journals. He is a member of IEEE, AP, CIS, PES, SPIE and AEIT.
