We’re pleased to announce that applications for this year’s awards are now open and we’re looking for the very best young woman engineers in the UK.
Our Young Woman Engineer (YWE) of the Year awards have been celebrating women working in modern engineering for more than 40 years and aim to help change the perception that engineering is predominantly a career for men, by banishing outdated engineering stereotypes of hard hats and greasy pipes.
Currently, women make up just 16.5% of the UK engineering workforce and we need your help to change that. We are looking for brilliant women in STEM who are passionate about changing their own lives, and about changing the lives of others too.
There are currently four prizes to be won which are awarded at a national ceremony in December.
