Foothold launches a new website offering specialist support to members and their families

In response to the latest member research in 2019 which showed that many engineers were not aware of the support they could access, the charity has launched a new website in the final step of its full rebrand.

The new, accessible website will provide specialist resources, from wellbeing and money advice, to legal factsheets and guidance for carers. The resources have been made available free to anyone visiting www.myfoothold.org.

In the financial year 2018/19, Foothold helped more than 900 people with support including almost £932,000 in financial grants, legal and career help, counselling and care and disability support.

With grant-giving charities such as Foothold supporting almost half a million people in the UK last year alone, according to data from the Association of Charitable Organisations, Foothold‘s new website is another source of specialist support for the engineering community worldwide.

Li-Anne Quinn, Foothold’s Marketing and Communications Manager said: “We’re committed to our goal of supporting 3,000 people a year by 2022, and to do that we wanted to augment our support (previously only through phone calls and emails) by having a website that also acts as a form of support. We hope that by doing this, more people are able to find the help they need at the moment they need it.”
