Our booklet, titled ‘Develop your career in Manufacturing’, showcases real-life examples Mamta Singhal CEng and Marie Isaacs to highlight the opportunities we can provide within the sector.
Mamta Singhal CEng serves as a volunteer expert on our Manufacturing Policy Panel which meets to provide advice to inform the Government. Marie Isaacs is a beneficiary of an IET Engineering Horizons Bursary, working as a Jaguar Land Rover apprentice.
Other opportunities include getting involved in one of our four manufacturing-related Technical Networks or the Design and Production Sector which campaigns on major industry issues. These communities allow you to expand your network by sharing your passion with others.

“Manufacturing is changing forever, and the IET’s Design and Production Sector has an important role to play in helping make sense of it all,” says Sector Chairman, Jeremy Hadall, as quoted in the IET booklet.
‘Develop your career in Manufacturing’ was launched at a recent Smart Factory event in Liverpool, the booklet is part of an on-going IET campaign to recruit more volunteers who can help to take the IET’s manufacturing interests forward. Could this be you?
