The IET India Internet of Things (IoT) panel, in partnership with Exhibitions India Group, is hosting another IoT India congress on 9 and 10 October 2018 in Bangalore. The event was officially unveiled by N Shivasailam, the Special Secretary for the Department of Telecommunications, in New Delhi.
This is the third time that the IET has hosted an IoT congress in India. This year’s event is set to cover topics, or tracks, on Healthcare, Manufacturing, Media and “Edutainment,” Smart Cities, Digital Communications and Standards.
These sessions will feature informative discussions on the technologies that have the potential to transform business, such as Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain, and the crucial role that cyber security plays in IoT. Two pertinent issues in the IoT dialogue in India – skills and supporting rural communities – will also run as a common thread throughout the congress.
In addition to the congress sessions, visitors will be able to touch, feel and experience IoT technologies like never before in the IoT Live Experience Zones. Here, visitors can explore a primary healthcare centre of the future, telecoms technology for 5G, Narrowband IoT (NBIoT), Sigfox and LoRa low-power, wide-area networks, a smart cities zone featuring the latest offerings in smart home, education and infrastructure technology and a Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 zone.
To support the vibrant start-up ecosystem, start-ups can take part in “Argonaut – Money on the Table” where entrepreneurs can pitch their ideas to a panel of leading technology investors to gain funding opportunities for their innovations.
The IoT congress will also feature a special IoT Awards ceremony to recognise and celebrate inspiring IoT thought leaders and the great work that start-ups have been doing in this space.
