The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) will be hosting a launch event at IET London: Savoy Place on Monday 11 December to showcase the findings of The Future of Work Commission’s latest research and policy recommendations on creating good work, future skills and innovation in the age of technology.
Hosted by IET Past President and the Future of Work Commissioner, Naomi Climer, this event will include a keynote address from Tom Watson MP, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party and Joint Chair of The Future of Work Commission, together with Q&A sessions led by Helen Mountfield, QC and Commission Joint Chair. Panel members on the day will also include Nobel Prize winner, Sir Christopher Pissarides; Co-Operative General Secretary, Claire McCarthy and economist and author, Daniel Susskind.
This is an opportunity for IET members to provide further comment on the evidence that has already been gathered from UK business, trade unions and universities, and influence the national Future of Work debate.
The event will take place in the Maxwell Library at Savoy Place between 10am and 2pm on Monday 11 December 2017. If you would like to attend, please register on the IET event page before Friday 8 December 2017.
