Engineering the Next Generation will be the next in a series of online programmes created by the IET and ITN Productions.
The next online collaboration between the IET and ITN Productions is set to examine the industrial strategy and the opportunities and challenges the sector faces, including the changes in policy and the long term impact that this will have on the UK economy.
This will be the third in a series of programmes exploring the diverse nature of engineering. The programme will feature key industry interviews and reports, together with sponsored editorial profiles featuring some of the leading organisations in the sector. The programme will also look at the broad range of jobs available in engineering.
Alison Carr, Director of Governance and Policy at the IET said: “Engineering is central for Britain’s future economic success but this relies upon a steady stream of talent coming into the industry to help us deal with the major issues that affect us all, such as energy security, the next generation of transport systems and high-speed broadband. Our new online programme with ITN Productions aims to shine a light on the modern, creative and exciting world of engineering, and help attract the next generation of talent.”
Simon Shelley, Head of Industry News at ITN Productions, said: “ITN Productions is delighted to be partnering with the Institution of Engineering and Technology to examine what a modern industrial strategy would mean for the future of engineering in the UK. We’re excited to embark on this project and engage with key organisations and people dedicated to shaping the future of engineering and indeed the future of the UK economy.”
