If you’re already volunteering with us, take a look at our induction resources
Whether you are new to volunteering with us or have been with us for some time, come and join us for a webinar to learn more about how your activities contribute to our charitable objectives and how we support volunteers. This webinar is 45 minutes in duration and is intended to provide information about the Institution in the broadest sense, including:
- taking a look at who our volunteers are and where their activities are taking place around the world
- how the strategy is developed and the current focus
- how we deliver our vision & mission, and how this is paid for
- sharing information on the support and resources available to you
- how we keep you informed and how you can share your news with IET members
- Q&A session.
If you would like to join us for a discovery session please register via the link below:
28 January 2020 17:00 GMT
25 February 2020 09:00 GMT
(Please note that the discovery session does not go into detail about the activities of each individual volunteering role, as that will be organised separately by staff colleagues who support your role.)
Virtual Tour of Michael Faraday House
Michael Faraday House in Stevenage is the place where most of our central and operational functions are located. You can take a look at who your colleagues are, and what they do, with our interactive floorplan that allows you to take a virtual walk around Michael Faraday House.
We are very happy to welcome our volunteers to Michael Faraday House, give a tour of the building and make introductions to the staff teams that support volunteers. If you are in the area and would like to visit Michael Faraday House, please email email@example.com in the first instance to make arrangements.
(Please note that we cannot accommodate unarranged visits, and can only offer reimbursement of travel expenses within the United Kingdom.)
