Volunteers innovate in response to COVID challenges

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our lives and changed everything. But the greatest crisis of the 21st century has also prompted the development of new and more effective ways of working, including innovations introduced by our amazing IET volunteers.

As the pandemic continues to wreak havoc around the globe, each day we see examples of positivity, resourcefulness and cooperation, along with a determination to find innovative solutions to the many new challenges we face.

Chris trials virtual academic accreditations

The Academic Accreditation Committee set up a small panel to talk about how best to respond to the changes brought by the pandemic, including how to continue with our accreditation work despite not being allowed to visit universities in person.

Chennai LN rises to the COVID-19 challenge

India’s Chennai Local Network (CLN) is more than 50 years old and has around 3,200 members. During the pandemic its 17-strong committee introduced many innovations to support the engineering community.
