Rick Hartwig, IET Built Environment Lead, introduced a panel on the Retrofit Roadmap, revealing how government policy can enable retrofit to thrive. The panel consisted of Sara Fletcher, Principal Policy & Programme Officer at New Energy Efficiency Programmes at the Greater London Authority, Chris Jofeh, Chair of Welsh Government Advisory - Group on the decarbonisation of Welsh Housing Stock, and Ron van Erck, Co-founder and Head of International Market Development at Energiesprong.
Dr Richard Miller, IET Built Environment Panel Member and Founder of Miller-Klein Associates spoke on a panel discussing building a market for energy efficiency, explaining how the demand for quality domestic retrofit is growing. Russell Smith, Director of RetrofitWorks, Kate Watson, Senior Project Manager at Centre for Sustainable Energy and Richard McWilliams, Director and Programme Advisory at Turner and Townsend we also part of this panel.
In November 2019, Energiesprong UK launched a major new design competition focused on the challenges posed by some of the leading social landlords.
