Skills and Demand in Industry report 2013

The IET carries out annual surveys of businesses to gauge the state of skills in the engineering and technology sector. The IET interviewed 400 managers and HR officers from a range of engineering and IT organisations across the UK and asked them about their recruitment plans and experiences.

The results, published in the eighth annual IET Skills and Demand in Industry report, outline current and planned levels of engineering and IT recruitment, the difficulties that employers are experiencing in recruiting the people they need and the skills gaps they find with the people that they employ.
