Hi all,

I am looking at starting an MSc course this September that i have been accepted onto with on the grounds of my experience and HND & NVQ Level 5.

I was given the choice of doing a 3 year part time top up for a bachlors of engineering degree (BEng) or 2 year part time top up to a masters of science degree (MSc) both are in building services engineering. Seems logical to take the higher qualification in less time.

I was wondering if anyone else has taken this route and completed a masters degree without a bachelors degree first? and if they found it effected their job prospects not have the bachelors degree. I have spoken with CIBSE who have told me the HND and MSc could be looked at to achieve IEng status but i would need both BEng and MSc to be chartered. If you could share you experience on this matter would be greatly appreciated as i am still not 100% which course i will take.

Thanks in advance.
