Afternoon all,
I have been asked to look at improving the lighting in one of our campus rooms. This is an old manor house and this particular room is the old lounge. High ceiling (approx 5 -6m high) with dark wood mesh of surface beams to which existing old glass lamp shades are fitted (BC with 26W CFLs in at the moment) I need to improve lighting to the centre of the room where the tables are arranged in a rectangular shape.
Any ideas with regard to suspended lighting of some sort as wall lights and uplighting are out of the question maybe not fluorescent but something a bit more fitting ?
The room is not exactly an office but is used for presentations and conferences and the like.
Anyone fitted anything like this and thought it looked good ?

Empty barrels make the most noise.

Louis Poulson versions of the Poul Henningsen Artichoke - very nice, I love that fitting.

An alternative might be Glasshutte Limburg - they have some nice pendants

How about some form of suspended lighting raft or ring with slightly less costly luminaires in that. easi-raft is one supplier/manufacturer.

Dimming (or better scene setting) would be a good call

Let the wind blow you, across a big floor.

New here?
