I attended this evening. it's not just about supplies. I was expecting a DNO preferences and caviats kind of thing but there is more to it.

I'd recommend this IET soiree for anyone who prefers a good triplen harmonic to a night on the sofa. It is very informative.

I had no idea that CTs are not efficient unless the load is running at full tilt. They use the expression 'partial load'. I work in a place where everything is designed for about 50% max so it begs a big question. I also didn't know that gensets are not able to supply loads with large power factors/capacitive loads. That last brings one or few of the designs in which I have been involved under a shadow I'm afraid....I have never before questioned that.
