Initial Professional Development (IPD)

About IPD

It takes time to develop the skills you need for your career, and a structured approach to your development will put you on the path to becoming professionally registered.

By signing up for the Initial Professional Development (IPD) service, you’ll get access to an exclusive community of engineers and technicians working towards registration, as well as tools designed to help you reach your goals.

The professional registration application process and the required standards of competence are the same for all members, but the path you take will depend on your background and experience. We will support your journey, and the guidance below is split up to suit your career stage.

Visit our Career Manager web page to log in and submit an Intent to Register.
