Young Professionals Coordination Team

The driving force behind YP activity at the IET.

Primary objective

The primary objective of the Young Professionals Coordination Team (YPCT) should be to ensure that all YP relevant channels within the IET remain open and effective. This will be achieved by managing and driving the Young Professionals Community and supporting and coordinating other Young Professionals Forum members.

The YPCT are also involved in driving the creation of a global community of YPs, encouraging individuals to get involved through board and committee activity or within their Local Network and facilitating the appropriate training to ensure they can engage and contribute effectively.

Who's who in the YPCT?

The YPCT is made up of five volunteers and one support staff member.

Tim Ludikar - Chair

Tim attended the University of Guelph, which is located about an hour southwest of Toronto, in Ontario Canada. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Systems and Computing in May of 2009.  After graduation he began working for Thales Rail Signalling Solutions, and currently works  for ViXS Systems, based in Toronto.

Tim is a self-confessed petrol head, born with skis on his feet, and volleyball in his blood.

David Leong - Past Chair

David read Electronic Engineering at the University of Exeter, and Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Melbourne.

He is currently a lecturer at a local college in Malaysia. Previously he was the Honorary Secretary for IET YMS Malaysia. His interests include painting and cooking.

Jon Ratcliff

Jon achieved a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and an MSc in Advanced Digital Systems from the University of Hertfordshire. Straight after university Jon was recruited onto the Orange UK two year graduate training scheme and now works for the largest mobile telecoms operator in the UK.

Jon has been an active member of the IET for the past five years, has been chair of the Bristol YP Local Network for the past two and has now become a member of the Young Professionals Coordination Team. In his spare time Jon enjoys hiking, mountaineering, camping and photography.

Qurat-ul-Ain Tabassum (Anee)

Anee graduated from the University of Engineering & Technology in Lahore, Pakistan with a degree in  Electrical Engineering (Electronics & Telecoms) and completed a masters from Queen Mary, University of London in Telecommunications in the Business Environment. She has worked in business development and pre-sales in industrial automation as well as telecommunications.

She has been an active member of the IET since 2001 and has held various roles on the YPS in Lahore as well as begin part of the Regional Representatives Committee. Now, in the UK, she is part of the YPCT. Her interests include travelling, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures.

M.Madhusudhana Raju 

Madhusudhana was born in 1985 and holds a Master of Technology from Dr.MGR Educational & Research Institute (2012). He started volunteering at the IET through the Chennai Local Network and received an Appreciation certificate from IET Young Professionals Student Chapter for his work on ICTES-2007 International conference as an Assistant-Organizing Secretary

Madhusudhana's active promotion of the IET has resulted in the start-up of a student chapter in Andhra Pradesh, India with 110 Student members from Surnandhra Engineering College in Narsapur District. He has also been involved in planning and running over 35 events,including conferences, workshops, symposiums, seminars, guest lecture and Industrial Visits for the local IET Community.
