Support with marketing your events – start with the redesigned toolkit

The marketing toolkit has been developed to help community volunteers to promote community activities.

The marketing toolkit has been redesigned

LN and TPN volunteers may already know about the marketing toolkit which has been developed to allow community volunteers to create branded marketing material, order corporate literature and promotional gifts to help promote community activities. We have redesigned the toolkit to make it easier to use and suitable for all communities including LNs and TPNs.

You will be able to:

  • create flyers, posters, programme booklets, newsletters and certificates
  • order IET corporate marketing literature such as sector brochures, membership, professional registration and development information, books and journals collateral
  • order IET branded gifts such as pens and USB sticks
  • order magazines such as E&T and Flipside
  • order stationery items such as business cards.

What support will there be?

The toolkit is very easy to use, and to help you we have created bite sized video tutorials which take you through it step by step.  In the coming months we will host online webinars to go through the new toolkit and show you how you can make the most of the system to support your campaigns.  Look out for communication about the webinar dates very soon!

The communities team are here to support all community volunteers to deliver effective marketing campaigns so please don’t hesitate to call or email us.

Is this a free service?

The design, authorisation and download of all PDF flyers, posters, programme booklets and newsletters will be free of charge to each community. All corporate and gift items will need to be paid for through the network account so please consider budgeting for these items during the planning process to ensure that funds are available.

What to do next…

Community volunteers are ambassadors for the IET and we would encourage you to use the marketing toolkit to promote the IET and your community activities with support from the community operations team.

To get started, email the Community Operations team to get your login details. The team will also answer any questions and take on board feedback you may have about the toolkit.

We look forward to working with you on some successful marketing campaigns soon!

Kind regards
The Community Operations Team
