The Local Networks are responsible to the IET’s Regional Boards with the Global Operations Board responsible for the combined world view of local activities.

The activities of the Local Networks throughout the world are governed by the Global Operations Board. Reporting to the Global Operations Board are five Regional Boards, each of which is responsible for the delivery of the IET operations, products and services within the region, including the Local Networks.

The Regional Boards allocate funding to the Local Networks in their area and oversee all local activity. The terms of reference for each Regional Board are available to view as well as information about the area covered by each Board and their aspirations:
