The role involves chairing leadership team meeting to ensure all the required business is covered and that all members have a fair opportunity to express their opinions. You will also be expected to attend and chair events, contribute to the IET's extended leadership team discussions ensure the Local Network plan is delivered as well as devising and implementing a succession plan within your committee.
This is a great role for those looking to enhance the professional development with the IET or looking to give a little back.
There will be some mentoring by the current Chairman and a number of online resources available to you prior to taking on the role. You should be a member of the IET and Have good communication and people management skills.
