EngTechNow is a new campaign to raise awareness of the value of registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech). It was announced by the Prime Minister in June 2013.
Its goal is to make engineering technicians, their employers and the general public more aware of the quality standard which EngTech represents, and to increase the number of professionally registered EngTechs in the UK.
The core aim of the EngTechNow campaign is to place EngTech professional registration – and the standards by which EngTech is assessed – at the heart of the engineering profession. We're prompting a step-change in the recognition, adoption and ongoing use of the EngTech title.

The EngTechNow campaign is being piloted by the IET along with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), in conjunction with the Engineering Council. It will also be delivered by the UK’s professional engineering institutions (PEIs).
It is supported by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation.
