Siemens graduate - Ife Adewuyi

Joining a graduate scheme was the perfect way for Ife to develop his knowledge and skills. He’s learnt that as an engineer communication is essential and he’s loved the variety and challenges that come with the role, including the chance to become a project manager.


 

 

Matt Fox

e2v graduate - Matt Fox

Matt is undertaking global high-end technology company e2v’s graduate scheme and is currently working as a junior applications engineer in its high performance imaging division. He’s discovered roles he never knew existed thanks to rotating around the company and loves the variety and opportunity the graduate scheme has given him.


 

 

Jennifer Brown

Paradigm Flow Services graduate - Jennifer Brown

Wanting to experience independent living Jennifer moved from Stirling to Aberdeen and discovered a passion for the oil and gas industry. After completing a course in chemical engineering she walked into Paradigm Flow Services’ HQ with her CV and asked for a place on its graduate scheme. Now a graduate process engineer, she works on groundbreaking products, playing a part in cutting-edge engineering for topside and subsea pipeline blockages.


 

 

Chris Pratt

Atkins graduate - Chris Pratt

After returning to engineering from a stint as a trainee actuary for a pensions consultancy, Chris found that the Atkins graduate scheme was a great opportunity to develop as a professional engineer, with the chance to work in Dubai for two months as well as apply for Chartered Engineer professional registration at the end of scheme.


 

 

Phoebe Bointon

Mott MacDonald graduate - Phoebe Bointon

Phoebe Bointon currently works within Mott MacDonald’s Building and Infrastructure division. Her work is hugely varied - one day she may be working out on site and another day be in a design team meeting with clients and architects. A highlight of her graduate scheme experience so far has been working as a hazardous waste and materials specialist on a six week project in Mongolia.


 

 

BP graduate, James Tozer on the Clair Platform

BP graduate - James Tozer

James Tozer is currently working as a mechanical production support engineer for BP’s Clair Platform, as part of the company’s graduate scheme entitled BP’s Challenge Program. A varied role, he spends a third of his time working offshore on front line operations, maintenance and repairs. He was apprehensive leaving everything and everyone he knew in London to move to Scotland, but is happy he did - as the experiences and career support he is gaining is phenomenal.
