Online communities and Technical and Professional networks (TPN)

There are so many different disciplines within engineering and technology that sometimes it's hard to find experts in your field. Not anymore!

Each TPN is an online community [new window] of people studying or working in that particular field. There are 35 in total, with no limit as to how many you can join, and in every network you can find the latest news for that area, forums where you can interact, and details of events, courses and seminars. They provide a great opportunity to network, which in turn could lead to some new job opportunities.

Local Networks

You can also look up local networks in your region and attend workshops, technical visits, network and social events. Again, another great way to network with professionals in your area…

Be sure to also sign up and make the most of the IET's Engineering Communities: the IET's professional network and collaboration platform, enabling you to connect, interact and exchange knowledge with your peers online.
